She has a particular interest in adolescents with abdominal pain, including but not limited to; irritable bowel syndrome, chronic constipation, functional pain and inflammatory bowel disease.

Paul Rufo, MD, MMSc

Dr. Rufo is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics and the Director of the Harvard Medical School Fellowship in Pediatric Gastroenterology and Nutrition. He is faculty member in the Division of Gastroenterology at Boston Children’s Hospital and the Center for Inflammatory Bowel Disease. His clinical practice is focused on the development of biomarkers for use in the diagnosis and interval assessment of children with inflammatory bowel disease. Dr. Rufo is also involved in the translation of novel agents for use in the management of secretory and inflammatory gastrointestinal diseases in children and young adults.
