About the Study

The Women’s Health Study: From Adolescence to Adulthood started in 2012 to explore health topics that affect women over the lifespan. We are creating the Alice S Marriott Biorepository (storage of biological samples, for example urine, blood, and tissue, in freezers), and a database (contains security protected health information about our study participants). These serve as a resource for scientists approved through our human subjects protections who are researching women’s health topics.

Study participants are asked to provide the following:

  • Answers to health questionnaires
  • Urine and saliva samples
  • Blood sample (OPTIONAL)
  • Some patients who are having surgery are eligible to provide more samples

This study is now closed to new enrollment. Moving forward, we will contact our participants annually for updates.
